Air conditioning system installation and replacement

A new air conditioning unit will keep you comfortable and save you money in the long run!

Summer is for relaxing, not battling the heat. A central air conditioner allows you to rest comfortably day or night while eliminating the worry about your next utility bill. So, whether you're hosting a summer get together or having a movie night in, you can relax peacefully knowing your home cooling needs are backed by our air conditioner repair and installation. The benefits of owning a central air conditioner unit do not end after installation. Each AC unit is backed with a warranty, ensuring a cooler, more comfortable home year round.

When it comes to air conditioner installation, many HVAC companies can only provide products for small homes and businesses. At Hey Neighbor LLC | Ron the Furnace Man, our AC installation specialists can handle jobs of all sizes, and we'll work out a customized plan with you no matter what your needs are. Whether you're interested in a replacement air conditioning unit for your single-story home or you need a new AC unit installed in your business, we'll create a solution to get you the indoor comfort you deserve.

When should you replace an AC unit?

As a general rule, your air conditioner may be due for replacement if it has been 10-15 years since it was installed. A heat pump will generally last about 15 years. Of course, this varies depending on the efficiency of the unit and if it was sized correctly for your home, its manufacturer, how it was installed, how repairs were handled, and how consistently it was maintained (i.e. cleaning, new filters, calibration).

You definitely need an quality local HVAC repair tech when you experience any of the following, but keep in mind that any of these signs could also point toward needing a new unit:

  • • Unusual noises
  • • Uneven cooling
  • • Icing up
  • • Increased utility bills
  • • Water leaks
  • • Oily residue on unit components
  • • System isn't reaching thermostat-set temperature

New units are more efficient

Older central air conditioning systems cost more to run, adding up to yearly expenses that just don't make sense. Replacing your AC system with a newer high-efficiency one can reduce your monthly cooling bill greatly, which means your equipment will pay for itself in a relatively short period of time, and will save you a lot of money in the long run. Meanwhile, you'll be enjoying more effective temperature control, quieter system operation, and increased indoor comfort.

We'll make sure you get an AC unit or heat pump with a good S.E.E.R. rating and output that makes sense for the size of your home, so you're not paying for energy you can't use or feeling the heat for a lack of cooling.

How long does it take to install a new AC system?

Not long! Once you decide to install a new air conditioner or heat pump, we'll remove the old system, install your new one, connect the wiring and ductwork, test and calibrate the controls, and have you up and running again - usually in a single day!

So... don't bother booking a hotel room! Getting on our calendar is easy because we have a team of dedicated, hard-working, experienced technicians that do this type of work all day, every day. We show up first thing in the morning and don't leave until the job is done.

Is the installation process messy?

It shouldn't be! Our HVAC technicians are conscientious about your home and are careful not to create a cleaning headache for you. We stock our trucks with drop cloths, coveralls (for working in dirty attics and crawlspaces), brooms, dust pans, garbage bags... you get the idea.

When we install a new AC system, we take away all of the packaging, the old equipment, and any debris created by the job. You're left with your new unit, the instruction manuals, and a cool home! We always do a final walk-through on every job just to make sure everything looks good and that we haven't left any loose ends.

Does my new air conditioning system come with a warranty?

Yes! We offer a limited lifetime warranty1 on all of our central air conditioning installations, in addition to any limited warranty provided with your equipment or extended warranty offered by the manufacturer. If anything about our installation fails (i.e. we installed it poorly), you're covered.2 Just let us know.

Of course, we like call backs about as much as you do (see also: we don't like them), and that's why we send only qualified technicians, inspect all of our work when we're done, and do a final walk-through with you, our customer, making sure you're happy with our work. But mistakes do happen (rarely) and parts fail on occasion, so if that's the case, please let us know.

1 Our lifetime warranty is limited to the original, registered homeowner of a properly matched system. This means your HVAC system equipment is covered for as long as you own your home, but once you sell your house, the warranty reverts back to the factory warranty.

2 Service agreement required. Our philosophy is that since we installed the system, we know it's going to work the way it should. As long as we're in a position to keep the system in proper working order (that's where the service agreement comes in!), we're more than happy to warranty our labor.
